Imagine living in a country where:

Half of all adults are illiterate
Only 2 out of 10 children finish
elementary school
Hunger keeps many kids from
concentrating in school

This is a challenge our brothers and sisters in Haiti face every day.

Now we have a chance to put feet to God's grace. Now through August 31 we will have two projects to help children involved in schools associated with Grace Brethren churches in Haiti.

1. Provide school supplies for children in grades 1-12. Items needed include pads of paper, both with small lines or with big lines, three-ring notebooks, large pencils, regular pencils, big crayons, regular crayons, ballpoint pens, folders, chalk, backpacks, calculators, rulers, individual pencil sharpeners, glue, scissors, and construction paper.

Also, any cash offerings toward shipping the items to Haiti would be appreciated. Please see instructions below.

2. Provide tuition for the children. A year’s tuition for a child is $7; with 80% unemployment in Haiti, and an average income of $400 a year, many families cannot afford even that.
