“I have had the very awesome opportunity to be a part of the “Women and Scripture”  class taught by Dr. Christy Hill.  What an amazing time studying with other women our unique and very special place in God’s plan not only in our churches but with the women we have an opportunity to interact with.  Christy’s heart for women comes through in not only her teaching, but in time spent with her on a personal level.  I was impressed with how well she knows and shares the material and with how she asks questions of us as her students and welcomes our questions and comments. I appreciate her biblical perspective on women in leadership and came away from the class with a better understanding of how God can use me in the local church, Bible studies and one-on-one times with women who are searching for how they fit into God’s plan.  As a note of encouragement, remember: women who appear in Scripture are competent, secure, qualified people who had responsible roles to fill.  Proverbs 31:30, 31 NIV says:  Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works being her praise at the city gate. What is your role in God’s plan? “-Robin Workman
